Barnes and Noble’s ‘Nook e-Reader’ is a sleek and light weight e-Book reader with touch screen display, thus eliminating the need for many buttons which were presented in original nook. Nook e-Reader’s 6-inch display utilizes E Ink® Pearl technology, which is same as on the Amazon kindle 3G. With 7.5 ounces in weight, it is lighter than a paperback and still holds up to 1,000 books and newspapers with 2 GB internal memory and expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card. It also supports EPUB, PDF and Adobe DRM.
Nook also has an on-screen keyboard which appears whenever you need it. On the downside, Nook features only Wi-Fi connectivity while Kindle also offers 3G connectivity, but with a hefty price tag; you need to shell out some $50 more. With touch screen capabilities of Nook, it makes the navigation easier than Amazon’s kindle which has almost 40 buttons. So, if you do not like the touch screen, then you may opt for Kindle, otherwise Nook has a certain advantage over the current kindle.
So, which one you think will be more popular and win the battle – Amazon’s Kindle or ? Barnes and Noble’s Nook?
